I wont be looking for another for a few years yet - but when I am advising others there are certain breeders in the UK i recommend, but even then it depends on the individual matings, there are certain dogs I would not want in the pedigree, especialy if in both female & male line.

Personally, I would be looking for Hill vom Farbenspiel, Ulk von Arlett or Amigo vom Belgier.
Hill goes back to Mutz von der Pelztierfarm, which could be found in a lot of WL dogs pedigrees.

each line has its strengths and weaknesses......
what are you looking at for a show dog?
one with more working potential, or one with super gait, or just a large headed male, or ultra femanin female?
Show dogs that have the ability to work are what happen to intrest me..so having V16 3xWUSV, Schh3, IPO3, FH2 Laius vom Moorbeck appeal to me.
He had a very tough daughter, V, Schh3, IPO3, SVV2, TD, WDS3 Zaira Vlady-Sal, and son V IPO2, SVV2, Zamb Vlady-Sal - Zamb was the only show line dog working as a riot control prison guard.....and has 0 decent photos.
These dogs won't win a sieger show, but are stable, strong and could work with the best of them.
Zyra has several progeny that see gave her working ability to.
Here are's an example of a daughter and son from different litters.

Laius vom Moorbeck had many offspring and his HD/ED record was above normal.

Workability without being over the top, balanced in character. Good family members when not working. Not handler aggressive (although some of the dogs in the 80's were borderline LOL) Easily trained. The best word is balanced. There are some really nice SL dogs up and coming. Some breeders are really working hard on this at the moment. I am seeing the absolute worst temperment in SL I have seen in almost 30 years and in the same breath I am seeing some of the nicest up and coming dogs yet. I work both show line and working lines and do not breed so I have a very different perspective than many of the others on this forum. It is the one time we need to look backwards to go ahead. The show line dogs in the 80's had alot of virtues!
Donnerstorm you dont see alot of discussion on SL because it turns into a pissing contest on this board. There was a really NICE thread just a bit ago on here that could really answer alot of your questions. it was a very civilized discussion :)
