Yep, the feds are serious about limiting non-employment related spoofing and work related cyber abuses. This actually is an extension and adjunct of the already passed cyberstalking laws (federal and state), most of the actual details are not public due to protecting sources, methods and procedures. So typically by the time folks get busted, they have usually buried themself pretty deep and are willing to plea bargain for lessor sentences, making successful prosecutions basically a slamdunc affair. (edited by admin-unsubstantiated claims against vague members and turning PDB into a conspiracy will not be tolerated) Sound extreme? Yep, these fascists in control of our govt are extreme. It's just that most folks haven't figured it out yet and don't understand the depth of the creeping tyranny we all face.

Dumb question but I don't spend a lot of time on the internet, what is a spoof Id? As far as the rest of it, once again it's absurd. Every time you turn around they are passing another law stating "safety" as the reason that invades our privacy and is a violation of our rights. They mention safety and people jump on board. They don't stop to think where does it end? A couple of years ago I had driven a friend home on New yrs Eve went through a DUI checkpoint. I have no problem with the checkpoints, they are a good thing, I had not been drinking I did however draw the line when the officer asked to look in the trunk of my car. He got VERY upset and asked if I had something to hide. I replied with well you won't know because you aren't looking in my trunk. It's my trunk and none of your business what's in it. He responded with he could get a warrant, I said fine you wake up a judge at 1:30 am and tell him you want a warrant and your reason is just because I said no. There was nothing in my trunk but it was the principal of the matter. And believe me if a criminal wants to get something done they will, it's us law abiding citizens that are inconvienced. At some point the general population will have enough hopefully and tell Washington we are full grown adults and we don't need them to make all of our decisions, and if our decision making abilities are so impaired maybe they shouldn't be in office because they were voted in!

Do ya think they might extradite me from the UK, always fancied an American trip. This has to be one of the funniest posts I have read by this author yet!!!!! lmao.

Bazza, I didn't write the news article. The folks at TSA and hiomeland security in the USA here really are nuts and they want to create a nanny state where we have to get permission for everything.
The artricle does not say the new proposed law would outlaw user names, just abuse of user names under false pretexts to harass others or spin lies in order to defraud them in some manner.
It is just another excuse to take away more and more personal freedom.
