Really? - Page 1

I'm really not one to down people who are selling dogs, or bash people in general........But I just noticed another advertisement "Imported GSD Female for Trade"  .......  It looks like a nice looking dog, but they claim the sire "Ex Jipo Me" is a 3 times Schutzhund 3 "Champion".......Ex does not have any Schutzhund titles, I've talked to his owner in the past many times. I know he is training in SchH and PSA, but hasn't obtained any titles.  It claims the female for sale is also imported? Ex is out of Mambo, and Ex has been here well before the female was born (I can't remember if Ex was imported or not, but he was here well before 2 years ago.  The dam has been here too, and sold around a few times.  Really though, why are people so dishonest?  I'm not trying to "bash"......but shouldn't people know what they're really getting?

Yeah as far as I can tell Ex isn't titled in anything.  Why would they call her a import?  I have no clue.
Call the person up and see if they really know what is true and what is false.

Maybe a few typos?

Thanks Ace, I didn't know if it was okay to post the advertisement link in the post or not.   I'll shoot them a call or email here in a bit, it could just be an honest mistake on their part.......Or it could be a way to sell the dog....  

Yeah shoot a email and see.  I know I am REALLY stretching it with the typo remark...lol.  That said, if they are starting to breed dog's then they should be verifying all facts before posting an add like that.

In terms of a larger picture, it has made me think about people for sale ad's. 
I have noticed that people nowadays sell dogs past on other dogs in the PED instead of the dog itself.  Now with puppies I can certaily understand that.  But I see this with dog 1,2,3 and older.  The ad to sell the dog talks about all the previous great working dogs and has only a line or 2 about the ACTUAL dog up for sale.

Ace, she sent a response back to my message.   I think she just...didn't know, and she's going to correct the info on there. I know Ex/Carbon produced some nice puppies before, I think with a good video of the dog working she could find a nice home for her.  

I've noticed that too about a lot of ads.  It is good to know the pedigree of a dog, but the great thing about adult dogs.....we can see them work, see what they're capable of, and know what the dog is like.  With a puppy...well, we don't always know what the end result will be with everything.
