I am the new owner of Schneider Ecki.  Unfortunately her previous owner had her spayed.  Shre is a great dog with a wonderful temperment.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to whether I should reverse this.  I was advised she  was pregnant one time, but none of pups survived.  It is my understanding  it is not unusual for the foirst litter to mot be successful, but I am not that knowledgeable.  Does any one have any suggestions

So, I am probably going to piss someone off here....

What the hell are you talking about?  Reverse a spay?  It is a complete hysterectomy!  If you have a time machine, then yes... you can stop it before it happens.  I'm sorry, but why would you want to breed an 8 year old female anyway?  There are ethics beyond the spay issue here that are being ignored.  Let a retired old girl be just that.  If you want to breed dogs, do your homework... There were a lot of things I WANT to say here, but prefer not to get banned...

Spayed is spayed.   There is no 'reversing it' her reproductive organs have been removed from her body.

Come on guys how many times are you going to fall for these one of one post and think it is someone who is really being serious. Anytime you read something this stupid check the posters history.  Almost always its post 1 of 1. This particular female is also 8 years old.

All they need to hear  is that it is not possible to reverse a spay under any circumstances.  And for the health and well being of your bitch, 8 years old is probably too old to breed anyway.  Enjoy her as a companion and beloved pet.  Best of luck with good longevity on your girl, Nan

It is possible for people to be so uneducated, I once had a caller who had acquired a castrated dog asking how long it would take for the testicles to grow back, since he now had the dogs papers and wanted to offer him at stud!

I agree Margaret.  Not everyone was born knowledgeable, at least give them the benefit of the doubt.  The poster could be young or just uneducated.

No, I am going with stupid, or intentionally irritating..   The OP sent me a cryptic PM--"cryptic" because it is in some Teutonic language I can't even begin to read.       As his/her posts, as well as mine, have all been in English, if he/she really had something to communicate, it would have been in that language.

I have blocked the blighter, now, as I have no time for nonsense--it's Seafair Week !
