His teeth are still emerging at 6 months old. Not time to worry just yet.

A missing premolar is quite common, it is not a serious fault but the dog cannot get kkl1.

can anyone please tell me is it normal that my puppy is just missing only one premolar on the upper jaw and only on one side and all the rest of his teeth are out with a perfect position. would it come out or I shouldnt be expecting it?!!! has the same situation happened to anyone and that one appears later?!!!

Its not "normal" but not that infrequent either. I suspect that it will not come through, but you could have an X-ray to see if there is a tooth there or not. By 7 months all his teeth should be through.

sorry i made a mistake, its not P4 its P3. Could he still get the KKL2 with missing one P3?!!! is he going to face any dental issues ?!! Is he able to do the bite work professionally or it has an impact on his trainings?!!! im really concerned...

P1 is the most common to be missing and if just this tooth (or P2) is missing the dog can get kkl2. I am not sure about missing p3 - does anyone else know? In any case I am sure this will not affect his training or his ability to bit the sleeve.

I just checked, missing p4 or missing p3 plus one other tooth - these are disqualifying faults, cannot be bred. But I can´t find anything about just missing p3, can anyone clarify? Are you sure its p3 and not p2 (you start counting from the small ones at the front)?

thanks oso for your reply. I checked again today and im sure its P3. counting from the end he has the two molars then the big premolar, one is missing and it continiues with two more premolars.
my main concern is that both the Father and Mother of my dog have KKL1, i also checked his pedigree and they were ok as well. So how could this fault happen?!!
Many Thanks...

If he's just 6 months, it's way too early to worry! I had one dog get his last p2 in after he was a year old. If you are *really* worried, you could xray, though.
