Why give up? the pups eyes could well darken considerably in the coming months.

This pup is very young and the tan coat colour will spread considerably as he matures, my guess is the eyes will match the colour of the surrounding coat which is allowed for in the standard.

the eyes will be med brown color, if you are looking to get dark eyes you will need to breed to a very dark eye stud. ( some will get his eye color)

a puppy with blue eyes at 8 weeks will have med brown eyes, a puppy with brown eyes at 8 weeks will have dark brown eyes , this is a way for you to get an idea , when looking for a pup.

Look at the overall pup. He seem to be well built from what I can see of him in the pic . I had 2 green eyes in a litter and they went somewhere from med-dark/dark eyes. If he's got drive what more do you want?

The pups I've had with green eyes at 8 weeks had sort of golden brown eyes--a bit too light, but not yellow or gold--so still permissable, but lighter than ideal.
