a fursaver works great if you know how to use it.
a pinch collar also works well, but once again you have to understand how to use it...
wazzup has valid questions.......please answer them and we might be able to point you in the correct direction.

Please elaborate on how these collars work great? What is a fur saver good for in training? Could you please explain how you use a fur saver as a training collar? What does one need to know about a leather collar to use it? When would you use a leather collar in training?
Just curious,
Jim

I see so many dogs fighting on leashes and their owners trying to control their dogs. walking the dog become a chore and the owners usually end up leaving their dogs in the back yard.
thick leather collars are great for training puppies. Thick being at least 1 1/2 to 2 times the with of one of the puppies neck vertabre....... the trick is to teach the puppy that the leash doesn't have to be tight at all times........simple puppy training.
fursaver collar is great for older puppies 12 months and up, a quick correction and then loose leash and they will be heeling and doing all you ask on command......before a week the dogs will prefer to keep the leash loose and to look at you to see what to do. it all in the timing..........
a harnes is also great for training........
its not rocket science..............

Sitasmom: Nope it's not rocket science, your right about that. Fur savers are actually a poor training tool and deliver an ineffective correction. The advantage to a fur saver is it doesn't wear on the dogs hair, hence the name. It is also the only collar allowed at a SchH trial.
How many dogs have you actually trained? Besides Sita have you done SchH with any other dogs? Have you ever titled a dog in SchH or any other venue? I am asking because you post extensively, and I'm trying to get a feel for your experience level. I have not read all of your posts, I avoid the OT ones. From the ones I've read I get the idea that you have been doing SchH for about 6 months give or take. It is possible that you are a very seasoned dog handler and that I have missed those posts where you talk about your expertise.
Just curious,
Jim
