Ah don't tell me... The poor dogs were put to sleep? What happen to the dogs?

by BMartin on 14 June 2011 - 18:06

At this point, you know as much as I do.  I doubt the animals will be put down for this, but I am sure they will be taken from this dumbass.  Hopefully they get a second chance, but it is Illinois so you never know.

I don't know about that. depending on the county... Some dogs get put to sleep for killing another dog or a cat.

I send my dogs after squirrels, coyotes and rabbits all the time. Would that not be considered the same thing? If the cat was a nusance in my yard why not? Was this an urban or rural neighborhood?

I can't imagine what a pet cat could be doing in someones yard that warranted being deliberately killed by a couple of dogs.

Who said it was a pet? could have been a feral cat. Could have been trying to get at fish in the owners koi pond? Could have been trying to get the owners chickens? I don't know, but I'm not going to hang him out to dry just from the information that was giving

I hate to admit it but i had sent my dogs after neighbors cat...he was an outside cat and unaltered male..had many fights ON MY porch with MY cat, she has scars to prove it... he also sprayed our front door and chair pillows every freaking night, we used side door to enter the house because the smell was awful.....if i seen him (cat) in our front yard i would open my door and tell my dogs to get him.....they never left our yard but couple of times cat was nipped but always made it out of our yard alive...thats the only thing that stopped him from spraying our front porch and coming onto our property (believe me i tried bleach, pet deterrent chemicals, etc, nothing worked)...he did not come around at least when dogs were out at night...i did see him few times on my table when i pulled into my driveway....pissed me off...so until the full story is posted it's hard to judge...I love cats...but a year of cat screams under the window and cat urine smell which is worse than any dog smell...was enough for me to praise my dogs when they went after him....and to tell you the truth i did not feel sorry...i had complained to neighbors many times, they said "oh, well we cant control him"...
