Tina Barber, the founder of the Shiloh Shepherd breed, passed away last night, after a 2 year battle with lung cancer.
R.I.P., brave lady. You fought long and hard for what you believed in.
Now you can take your much-deserved rest in the arms of your Lord and Saviour
Your dogs will live on as a testament to your dedication and hard work.

I am so sorry to hear that. I knew Tina way way back in the day before she went the Shiloh route. I have many letters she wrote me. She was always helpful and answered a lot of questions when I was just getting started in the breed. She even invited me to NY once to work as kennel help. I have sometimes thought how would that have turned out and where I might be now. Even tho she and I agreed to disagree on many things, I think she was way ahead of her time on some things. Thanks for sharing the news. RIP Tina.

I posted my condolences on her board but will here as well. Some of her old Shiloh Kennel German Shepherd Dogs are in my dogs, so if it weren't for her I would not have them. Rest in peace, Tina.

Read much about this lady here in this forum. Sounds like a breeder in her own right. Sunsilver as you know her well, my deepest condolences to you, to her family and friends. RIP.
