"On the morning of May 5, twenty-six year old Jose Guerena was wakened by his wife with word that there were men outside their Pima County (Arizona) home. The former Marine and veteran of two combat tours in Iraq was day sleeping after pulling a night shift for the Asarco Mission mine. He woke up fast, directed his wife to hide in a closet with their four year old son, grabbed an AR-15 rifle, and headed out to defend his family
"
"Iraq couldn't kill him. The mine job couldn't kill him. The hometown S.W.A.T. team that burst though his front door with no warning...that was another matter. Within moments, his lifeless body slumped face down on his own kitchen floor, riddled with--get this--sixty bullets."

"This week, KGUN9 News reporter Joel Waldman interviewed Pima Co. Sheriff's Department Lt. Michael O'Connor about the shooting of Jose Guerena, who died last week when a SWAT team tried to serve a search warrant at his Tucson home. The victim's wife Vanessa has stated that neither she nor her husband knew that the people breaking into her home were deputies. She said that her husband, who pointed a rifle at deputies, was only trying to defend himself. Guarena never got off a shot. But SWAT team members fired a total of at least 71 rounds, leaving the home riddled with holes. Ms. Guerena was hiding in a closet at the time with one of the couple's children. Neither was hurt."

Nevermind, read the link. Mr. Former War Hero was also a drug dealer.

I appreciate your reading comprehension.
I've been there serving narcotics search warrants and shot at by "nice, innocent" drug dealers. My buddy, father of three and a good friend, standing next to me on an entry was shot and killed by a weed dealer. When the SWAT teams pulls up with an armored vehicle, lights and sirens in your front yard drop the gun. You know it's not a home invasion but the Police coming. It's simple drug dealers and criminals know that either other drug dealers are going to rob them or the Police are coming to arrest them. Cost of being a drug dealer. I arrested an army guy the other night on leave from Afghanistan for PWID Cocaine, Marijuana and possession of a firearm. The passenger in his car is implicated in the shooting of 8 people in two separate incidents. Not all our soldiers are angels and heroes, some are better trained criminals. Plenty of combat experienced gang members coming back from overseas with lots of training in urban combat. Wait and see.

Don't make this personal with me ... this is seriousness. Get the facts. Apparently you fail to see the “scenario".
