I lost my sister 4 weeks ago. She was an avid German Shepherd lover. Togeather we endevered to improve the breed of dog we loved so much. Not everyone thought we were acting in the best interest of the breed. In our minds, we were.
I want the world to know "I MISS MY SISTER".!!!!!
I now have her dogs, my dogs, and I need some HELP!!!!!Not financial Help, spirutual help, HELP to do the right thing. I am overwhelmed with grief!!!AND DOGS!!!!
I "LOVE and MISS" my sister!!!!What do I do with her dogs???? I am in a bind, that I don't want ""official"" help with.(they can shove it where the sun don't shine).
PLEASE don't give me a lecture in ethics. I need some constructive critisism, in which way to turn.
I also apologize for bringing this here. I need HELP. And as I stated,,,NOT FINANCIAL!!! Suggestions are welcome... I CAN AND WILL CARRY MY WEIGHT!!!! joni

I can say this to you as I'm 63 years old and have had to give some thought as to how my wife would deal with my dogs as they are to me one of the most precious things I've accomplished in my lifetime. I could only see these go to someone I thought would value them as I do and do what was right for them. It would have to be someone I had full trust and confidence in and be able to handle it, and that is very very few. So you will do the right thing because she new you were the only person who could, If she knowing you( and I don't) believe you were the right person I know you are also. I'm real sorry for your lose. But you can be real thankfull that you had her while you did to share all the things you have had. You will make it.

Joni, so sorry to hear about your sister. Was this the sister we knew from PDB?
My question would be the same as the others. What kind of help with the dogs? Temporary homes for some of them? Help building kennels to house them? What is the situation right now?

OKAY, I believe I can relate. A short time ago my sister went in for an angioplasty (including inserting a stent, not sure of spelling); she is a really independent person; a teacher, a true professional and has one of my dogs. I was not aware that she was going in for this procedure or even that this procedure was needed. We talk regularly and nothing was said; so I am not sure if she went in (by herself) in an emergency situation or what? I have not gotten that out of her as of yet, but I was not aware of any of this. OK; so I understand the need for independence and privacy; but what if something had happen ed to her??? How would I have known.???
So Joni: how can we help? Since we are all a bunch of dumb shits you are going to have to spell it out for us, please do that and I promise you will get the help you need.
Thank you for responding and communicating your needs to us. Nanci

Sorry for your loss, it is never easy losing a family member.
Triodigirl,
Aren't you related to Kitkat? Not sure why I think that, it just rings a bell for some reason.

So sorry to hear about your sister kitkat. Wasn't her name Janine? (sp)
I'm not sure what kind of help you need, but, if you need to rehome them, don't feel guilty about that. I'm sure your sister would understand.
