Can anyone come up with a way that I can communicate to my dogs that I am very capable of using the bathroom without their company, I mean seriously I guess I just need to learn to shut the door, because 4 dogs in the bathroom is a little ridiculous!!!!! HELP!!!! Anyone else have the same problem????? surprise

I second that......... LOL
3 full size GSD's in a 6' x 3.5' powder room is just sooooooo over crowded.......

Shutting the door hasnt helped me with my 2 GSDs. One knows how to open the door and after crushing the knobs with his teeth, Ive found out it is cheaper to let them in instead of buying door knobs. Ive also found myself almost having noses in my rear if I walk anywhere in the house and stop suddenly.

LOL I am in agreement with all of the above.  And what's funny is my boy--the biggest--is the one who wants to be the closest--he lays down like he's staying for the duration.  Gotta love those velcro dogs....................

I've got six insisting that they accompany me into the powderroom and if I do manage to slip in by myself, then they continually stick their heads thru the cat door to check on me.

It's so nice to know I'm not alone and I can see that there is no real solution in sight...sigh....guess I'll just have to continue my suffering, just not alone :) My sister in law always laughs when she is here at the way they are, although my son's dog has taken to her and does the same thing, so now she knows how it feels. GSDloyalty, I've had the same thing happen, it's like really, do you have to be that close?? I tell my hubby all time, gee it must be nice to be able to walk through the house without an entourage, his response is always "Well I still have to step over them" like that's so much more difficult than having them walk with you, trying to trip you the entire way, sometimes I think they just do it go get us on the floor so they can lick us to death!!!! He introduces them as our imported German rugs to people that come over!! Gotta love em though, they are loyal as it gets!!

I have those rugs also.
Talking about bathrooms, try running bath water and walk out for 1 minute and come back to find out your bath water has now become a doggy pool.

LOL! I have this same "challenge". If I lock them out they will sit at the door and play with the door knob the entire time!!!

My 4 especially like when I take a shower. When I'm getting ready for work, they will sneak into the shower with me & announce themselves with a stratigically placed cold nose if I happen to be busy washing my hair or something & don't notice 75# of wet dog tip-toeing past the curtain.....!!! And you can't get mad at those big, dark, seriously worried eyes! It's gotten so bad they are now crated so I can get showered & change into my scrubs to go to work....because they will interfere with my departure anyway they can, LOL! jackie harris

Jackie, I hear ya!!!!  My boy stays right there by the tub and all the time the girls are running in to stick their nose in the shower curtain like what cha doin mom  can we help?  Yeah you can like take a hike.  Then when I come out the puppy is laying in the door between the bathroom and bedroom and the big girls are on the bed.  I don't shut the door cause tho they don't fool with the doorknob, they constantly either bodyslam the door or scratch on it...............
