Malinois in Ontario, Canada? - Page 1

I am hoping those on the forum can point me in the right direction.

I am a born and raised GSD owner/lover and am currently working my 2 year old male in schH and agility (and soon to be herding hopefully). In the next year or two I have plans to add another dog specifically for schutzhund and am considering a Mal.

I will more than likely end up with a working line GSD but am doing my research on Mals to see if they would be a good fit. Like I said, not really sure at this point if the breed is for me or not. I have only ever known GSD's.

There are a couple of Mals at the club, but they are imports and one is from a breeder in the States who is not breeding anymore.

I am finding it difficult to find owners/handlers/breeders of the breed in Ontario, Canada though. I have no problems importing if I need too, but would very much like to create a relationship with those who already have the breed and know the breed around my area since I am new to Mals.

Any and all information or comments or advice are welcomed.

Hi Liz-

I am near London, Ontario and have been training Malinois in Schutzhund for about 10 years now. Have a retired SchH 3 male, titled one bitch to a SchH 2(RIP) and my currently bitch has her BH and we will be trialing this year for the remainder of her titles.  I will be up in Niagara this month with my Malinois as a spectator. Maybe I will run into you then, feel free to come on over to chat dogs;)
