Although my wife worked for a vet, I would not rush to the vet with this puppy. There are many many people here that have experience and first hand knowledge. They can give opinions and advice. However, remember, all opinions and advice is given without these people seeing, and physically being able to put their hands on the puppy. So you will have to decide which opinions are worth considering and which ones to completely ignore.
Please keep us posted on how your baby is doing. Best of luck and I hope all turns out great for you and the puppy.

However it is possible that if the Pup has been like this since birth it may be a Wobbler, and that is it no return from that, But the Pup deserves to be seen by an expert, Not a guessing talking Lot of Folk on this Forum including myself.
Sometimes my mind boggles to the way some of you Guys think and this is the second time today that i have had doubts on the way some of you Guys think in the States, You may not like it but thats the way it is, I am beginning to think there are some real sloppy Dog owners over there

Something else to consider: Petoasis is from a foreign country, I believe, and veterinary care may not be as readily available as it is here.

Steve1, please read my post closely and you will see that I said, "we can only give an opinion". I would hope that no one would seriously try to diagnose anything by what a person post on here. The Original Poster came here asking if anyone ever experienced what they posted. Actually maybe the only answer they were wanting was a yes or no. But seems you commented as though they were asking if they should they go to the vet. I really posted my opinion on your comment. You took the OP in a different direction and I followed you. I am guilty to have allowed myself to get side tracked. I'm wrong for that.
Steve1, Perhaps if you would have read my entire comment you would have seen that no where did I try to play vet and diagnose the situation described. You also would have seen my statement: "They can give opinions and advice. However, remember, all opinions and advice is given without these people seeing, and physically being able to put their hands on the puppy. So you will have to decide which opinions are worth considering and which ones to completely ignore."
Thank You Sunsilver, for explaining why some things are handle differently here in the US than the way they are handled in other countries.
As for it being a money thing as to why many would not rush off to the vet, I do not believe that is the case with everyone. I know that I am very capable of any expenses my dogs may need. However, common sense will tell people not to jump to conclusions and run to the vet just because they can afford it.
The more experienced owners and breeders would not be so quick to rush to the vet. They are knowledgable enough to know if a given situation requires vet attention or not. I bet that although they may not post it on this forum, they would more than likely be on the phone to other knowledgeable breeders to share this experience and opinions.

I agree with Steve1 - TAKE IT TO THE VET - If this happens to be infectious, you could save the rest of the litter!
As far as rich vets - call around and find one that's not so rich.
Call and ask the price for an office visit, vaccinations, x-rays etc for a pretend dog say 75lbs female.
Write all the information down and compare. I found that by driving 15 minutes longer I can get most stuff done for half price.....just took a little time of the phone and a phone book.
My old vet called and asked why happened and I told him that if found someone that was much less expensive and switched. He took it as a working and started sending me discount coupons....LOL

You said if it is not better in a DAY or TWO then i would take it to a VET. So here we have a 17 day old Puppy Paralyzed in the rear Legs, You say it can wait for a day or two in that condition to see if it improves, What a stupid remark to make,
Tell me Sch2 GSD, one of your children goes of its legs unable to use them, What would you say.
OH' i will wait a couple of days to see if the Childs condition improves. I think not you would be at the Hospital or Doctors very fast indeed if you had any sense at all,
Actually you are talking stupid IT is not a minor aliment when a Puppy goes off its legs it could mean something very serious is amiss and you do not wait a couple of days or waste time asking on a Forum what the Guys think the problem is, it is not you or them that is in the condition the Puppy is
And you do not need to reply to me in RED letters it does not make your silly reply any better
Sunsilver
Regards of where the OP lives is irrelevant to me. Anyone who decides to rear a Litter of Puppies should have all eventualities worked out before hand meaning a Vet to get to.
What happens if the Mother had trouble during the birth. You do not breed Dogs without all things being looked after in front
I call it bad Practice
