I thought I’d warn the “real” people here to start moderating their dog’s photos and names on this site. We have some anonymous idiots going around to dog’s pedigrees and changing pictures and names of dogs that do not belong to them or received permission to change either picture or the names of the dogs. Hopefully Oli read this and installs a script that allows the owners of the dogs that’s register to be notified and to receive permission (activation code) before the change, also to get the email address and IP address to the person who’s trying to change a dogs information that doesn’t belong to them.

I think the problem is pretty intermittent but thanks for bringing it up Brittany!!! Oli has enough on his plate. He know has you to log on to alter any dog's pedigree. He can't go so far as to start asking for (2) pieces. Furthermore, as much as dogs change hands these days, it may be a nightmare to try to hand out activation codes to "so called owners". We have to just be responsible, mature adults and watch for stuff like this and if you happen to know the owner, contact them yourself and let them know of the discrepancy. After all the site is FREE. We've asked enough of Oli. It's time we try to manage some things the best way we can.

When I register one of my dogs and some of his ancestors are not registered and/or have no photos, I often must submit photos of dogs that I don't own, have never owned, and may have no idea who actually owned them. That's toften he way it may work when creating photo pedigrees. I agree that some newly submitted photos are inappropriate and often don't do a dog justice. For example, why submit a new photo of a very immature Ursus Batu when he was in the 12-18 month class?

Hi, One other slight problem would be as follow: When I went to post a pedigree, the mother wasnt in the system. I had to use what little info I had to get her on so I could post mine. Well, clearly I do not own the mother. A bump in the road so to speak? Mike Happy 4th to all in the USA

LuvCzechDawgz, I'm not trying to bash Oli but several people had offered to buy this site, including volunteering with the maintain of this website and to be moderators on the forum. This site is needs ALOT of attention and it's nearly impossible to maintain it without help. also who ever keeps changing the dog, Zambi von Haus barkus, PLEASE stop changing her picture! This also includes the dog, Jake vom volkenstein (now named Jake Banus) If you do not like what I upload please email me to request a new picture... I'm more then happy to do it.

Seems like they are at it again Brittany. Send Oli a email telling him what is going on and asking him to lock access to your dogs so olny you can access them. I personally think that they should track down the person/s by their ISP address, ban that address from access to this site, and publish a message as to who has been banned and why they were banned. Then everyone else knows what kind of person they are. This is a great site, lots of information available to those of us that want to learn more, and lots of good knowledgeable people who are willing to answer questions and give their opinions. It's too bad that a few people try to ruin it for all the others. JMO Marsha Seck

Although it is frustrating for these kinds of things to happen....obviously Oli doesn't WANT to sell this site...and he doesn't WANT another moderator or he would have taken some people up on their 'numerous' offers...It IS his site and the choices are only HIS to make! I'm just grateful that it's here and can't believe it is free access. IMO, it's really none of our business how he runs it.

My dog is on here but I dont have any authorization code or anything. I just searched his name and found him on here. How do I get an authorization code for this site? I have changed his name to Adler as well instead of Glover. Should I notify the AKC?

Brittany, someone has changed your dogs' picture again. Just keep changing it back, and notify Oli to put a lock on your dogs' page so only you can access it. Hopefully he will do so. I too have had problems with someone changing my dogs' pictures, titles, pedigrees - I know who that person is, marsha you know them too. It might be surprising to some, who is behind much of the "bashing", name-calling, picture and pedigree-changing, etc on this forum!
