Profit is approx 10% for this quarter......
Much of the profits go to share holders and back into the company so it can produce more gasoline and other petro products that we use every day.......
The historically has made 12% (some years up and some years down), so the share holders and owners could just give it up and put all their money into the stock market and to hell with making gasoline, jet fuel, plastics, fertilizers, and more............
Stop whining and get a life......

Awww you're just sad because BP is the only big oil company unable to cash in on the current greed run as are the others, like EXXON (69% profit increase!) BP is too busy trying not to let out that the ocean floor is in big trouble, along with the dolphins, oyster beds and untold other bits of bad news. Not so good for your pocketbook, eh? Grin and bear it, you're tough enough.

any mutual funds?
if so, then you most likely own some Exxon, BP and others...........
if you dont, then i will end up supporting you in your old age.....

Or maybe we surely will. Maybe the United States Government will distribute those injected stocks, mutual funds, warrants of ownership whateva directly to the American people one day, instead of the US Government holding our share in "trust".
Seriously, lets take one bailout that is estimated to total 8.5 trillion dollars. With the latest total of American people being 305,754,329 . That would be 27,800.00 dollars owed to each individual American via stocks and warrants of ownership from whoevea the injection of money was sent to bailout. Even if the total cost of the one bailout is only (tongue in cheek and eyes rollin) 2.5 trillion dollars, it still would be a decent number (8,176.00 dollars) of shares and warrants of ownership to every American. With these kinda of numbers (lol) no telling what the American people could buy with those corporate dividends .. maybe we'll even straighten out our dollar crisis and actually obtain a megasurplus with each quarterly dividends check ... LMAO
Gezzz I hope Ron Paul wins ..... could you imagine the American people owning 100% of the top 1-3 percent corporate profits currently ? And that's with only 1 bailout. The bank bailout dividends look better yet !!!!!! yep, unintended consequences or is it blowback ? LMAO By the People, For the People ? It can happen. YES WE CAN !!
Talk about Grand Ole Party !!!!
You can't make this stuff up !!!
