Why was my topic deleted? - Page 1

About a week ago I posted a topic on here regarding a german shepherd mix that I needed to find a home for. A little while later I tried coming back to it, and it said it didn't exist. I assumed a moderator had deleted it because we aren't allowed to post messages regarding rehoming pets on here, but I keep seeing a bunch of other people doing it.

Just wondering why mine was taken down?

There was a programming bug last week where I accidentally gave googlebot the privilege to act as a moderator.   It went and examined all the "delete" links  to see what was in them  ( googlebot is Google's spider,  i.e. the program that reads pages and makes google search possible).

We posted a topic about the problem.

we have been restoring wrongfully deleted threads.   Do you have the link to yours?

(actually I gave all non-logged in visitors this priviledge )

After I posted this I checked under the "My Topics" link and noticed it let me open it. So apparently it did get restored. Unfortunately no one ever saw the ad ):

Thats okay though, I ended up finding her a nice home anyway.
