charity -- seeing that you are intersted in having asked your question -- one last comment -- re: clear in the head .... most people .. even those very well experienced make training errors simply because they do not so much read the dog --but even more important is that they do not o read right into the thoughts and feelings of the dog as it translates into the dog's behavior --- i do not rely on mehrtodologies , although we need a starting point -- but when you observe yopur dog .. or when you train -- always ask what where and why your dog is behaving the way it is and what you have or haven't done to bring out that behavior --so you may think your dog may not be clear headed but in actuality --it just very well might be
