is it unusual for a female to have a ltter of only four and does it it mean that it is not a very good litter to choose a pup from ..i was told by someone that it is probably better i wait until the next litter before i choose a pup..reason why iam asking is because i have pick of the litter male and there is only one male ha ha....your expert advise would much appreciated

Hi 69RS no it is not unsual for a female to have 4 puppys in a litter and it does not mean that it is not a good litter to choose a pup it is unfortunate that there is only one male pup it all depends on what you want the pup for is it for show ect. all you can do is have a good study of the male pup and see if he is for you my bitch had 5 females and one male so we keept one female and the only male in litter and he turned out to be a very nice dog and he did do a loot of winning in the show ring for me he is 4years old now however i hope this helps you and i wish you good luck for the future
