I was wondering if anyone had attended a Bernard Flinks seminar in the US in the last year, and how was it? Any details? Good crowd? Worth the money? I am very interested in attending one of his seminars!

I attended one of his seminars at the end of last year. It was fantastic. He is such a talented trainer and teacher. You can really tell he loves what he does and genuinely wants to help others learn. I would definitely attend if it were me.

there are some folks who can do anything with a dog themselves, but when it comes to teaching others, they just lack the personal and communication skills. bernhard is a TEACHER. i've been to 2 of his seminars and still use things i learned there. infact, i don't know any who are better teachers than he is. he can work with large or small groups of people and get the ideas across in simple and concise language. he is the best, as far as i'm concerned, with teaching the out and fixing dogs that have had screwed up training. if you have an opportunity to go train with him, don't miss it. i'm betting you will go back for more. :)
oh, and he is blatantly honest. when you leave, you will know exactly what your dog is....no guessing.

I saw Bernhard at Joe Brockington's Club last year. It was a great seminar with a great mix of people from beginners to experienced handlers. Joe did an awesome job hosting the seminar. I would be back for this years Seminar at Joes, but, Nate's seminar saves me a several hours drive time and I have a few friends to visit in Indiana. If you are close to Joe, don't miss out on the seminar!
The year before, Jim Duncan hosted a great seminar with Flinks in VA that I attended. Here is some video...

Definitely worth doing if you are able..
I recently taped 2 days of a seminar he did in New Mexico..and have over 8 hours of content which is nearly edited and ready for DVD.
He spent LOTS of time with each handler, not just 5 minutes. He breaks off to discuss specific topics of interest during each session.. I found this very helpful! He engaged the group in discussion, and allowed handlers to decide what they wanted as a goal/result. He was also great fun at dinner!!
Hope you get the opportunity to attend one.
