i didn't know you could use a prong collar in competition either -- learn something every day --- BUT what a laugh --- that is why i say there is so much astray with the Sch rules --this thingf about proving dog breed worthiness etc,--- if the prong collar requirenment is true -- gee ... you meran to say in Sch the dog can be titled ... but needs to be controlled , with any collar /leash ---- and you folks worry about an AUS -- by gokky when i train my dogs ... collar , no collar ... out ids out -- and when i ask/rerquire [ i never ever command my dogs for they are taught to work with me ] a down is a sown , a sit a sit .. and there is no such thing as a stay --- collar or no collar -- and most important -- they are never to take upon themselves to bite/ fass without my direction -- it doers not matter even as i platz my dog and the helper is dressing right beside them in his/her bitesuit -- you Sch folks put titles on your dogs and you can't even controll them !! what a sham --BTW it never never ever even kills drive developing that sense of control !! -- that is such an idiotioc philosophy too

I think what he meant was how many of us who have USED a prong collar in training our dogs have managed to obtain 300 points - I know of no Sch competition in the world where prong collars are allowed in the ring. I hope the sport has not come to that.

What I meant was, how many people have used a prong collar in training and gotten 300 points in the sport? Even 100 points in one phase is very rare and I was just wondering if there have been any 300 points at all? Or what are the incidences of specific training tools and point earnings.

I can only speak about two people that have earned 300 points, because I have trained with them. These two are Walter Krieple, and Roland Sieble (I hoped I spelled their names correct). Both have earned 300 points in trials, both train with prong collars, both have given seminars on their methods of using the prong collars. I didn't see the 300 point preforamnces, I didn't see the training first hand, but I have trained with these two personally. I trust their accounts of their training. I am sure many others have done likewise.

ALPHAPUP where do you train? Would love to train with your club, Must be nice training at your club.

These guys aren't in my club. Both of the are from Germany, and both come over here to give seminars. Roland is also a Schutzhund Judge. His 300 point score was with a Rottweiler. He is competiting with a GSD currently, and does very well in Regional and National events. Walter doesn't compete any longer.

I think beating the snot out of a dog produces the desired results 5 times faster than the prong collar. We've been doing it for millions of years - why? Because it WORKS.
For only $29.95 I can show YOU how to beat the little bastard into submission in just one day. Act now and get a free branding iron - makes them run faster.
Good luck, and god bless
