Bhaugh

by Bhaugh on 13 March 2011 - 20:03

Ive been asked to remove this post and I will. If a mod reads this, please can you delete it. This forum blows my mind. I dont get involved in what others do. Its hard enough to keep myself on track. I can see now why the Bouvier person doesnt want to stay. God its absolutely nuts!!!!!!!!

They are sitting in a shelter.   Id like to see them get into homes not be euthed or sit in a rescue for a year or so waiting for a home. i dont get some people on here.

Bhaugh, there are some things that are best handled off of an Internet message board, y'know?  After all, *somebody* bailed Janice Bartmess out, and she may still have an acolyte or two in her thrall.

<shakes head> Still don't see why people feel that every single thing that happens needs to be broadcasted on the Interwebs...guess that's why I can't get with the whole Facebook and Twitter thing.

Barb, I know it's tough to see. I have to say I got more than a little nauseous seeing Arek like that...such a life he's had. How many idiots have used that poor noble old creature???  Has he ever, ever, had a "life"?

But it's being handled...rest assured, very competent people are working behind the scenes (the best place to work, often!) to do the very best that can be done for them at this point. The less publicity, the better.

I understand why Travels response would make you shake your head if you don't know the context.

Hexe, amen. I am not, nor will I ever be, on facebook. The people I want to find me will find me.

I have a few guesses as to who would bail Janice out........yuck.

BHaugh, I understand your concern--GSDs typically do NOT do well in shelter environments, and they usually don't 'show' well to prospective adopters in those situations, either.  BUT--at present, it's unlikely the dogs can be removed from the shelter, as they technically still belong the the Bartmess Harpy, unless she signed them over to the shelter. Or maybe she denied even owning them, in which case they'd have to be held whatever the CA minimum is for strays.

That said, I ask you--do you want them in ANY home--immediately--as in back in the Bartmess Harpy's clutches, or do you want them in *good*, safe fosters and/or homes where it can be ensured that never again will they have to worry about the Bartmess Harpy's designs on them?  'Cause if it's the former, then keep right on beating this drum out here in public, in front of everyone, including anyone the Bartmess Harpy is still able to manipulate.  If it's the latter, as I 'm sure it is, however, you might want to STFU about where they are and what's being planned for them.  Info as to where to send donations to be used on the dogs' behalf has been posted elsewhere on this board, so if you feel like you just have to do *something* to help them, that's the best option for those of us who aren't in the vicinity and actively working on the situation.

Bhaugh, we asked you nicely to just remove the data saying where the dogs were. YOU got all defensive. I'm sorry it worked out this way but we are being CAREFUL, not political or mean.
