Here are some new pictures of Erri and Orwell, as you will see their weights were reduced by slightly reducing their ration and increasing their daily excercise plus introducing 4 hours/week mountain hiking for them, they hopefully shaped up a bit but unluckily I gained 3 kgs more myself. By the way they run now straight, no limping, their pasterns and hocks are much better, and I think Erri's topline is getting better or maybe I'm making better stacks and taking better pictures now. Here they are and pls tell me what you think, don't be diplomatic nor too nice.

Condition looks fabulous in both of them.

I really like Orwell, except would like more of a stop.  LOVE the colouring, angulation, topline, everything else.  Hard to see his feet, are they tight?

That is the only flaw I can see cleary in Erri, he has flat looking front feet, love his head though!  He looks very solid and is becoming very masculine.  Love his structure too.

What a nice pair of dogs!

 Red Sable,

Good observation and I swear I knew you would say that, lol. I have a theory about the toes and feet, and please Rik do share your opinion.
If you remember when Erri was critiqued in previous threads all said he had very tight and rounded shaped feet and this was true as I could see their tightness on site. If you remember I made an observation that Orwell, who was critiqued then of flat splayed feet, made better herding or sheep tending plus better turns and faster than Erri.
Now our area is mountaneous with rocks, no soft earth or sand, I notice that Erri now is much faster, does better sheep tending than before, the distance he walks and runs per day increased much and his feet became more flat and tending to look a bit splayed, especially the front ones.
I do remember that all puppies I received from Germany/Czech had tight feet and rounded toes till they matured and started covering more distance running or walking per day. This is a theory or observation, true fact and I would love to hear from others what they think.
I am sure the hocks and pasterns are stronger now, much stronger, but front toes and feet are worse.

One more note: I checked their pads today, they looked harder than before, stiffer, more rigid and less flexible, but dry with minute cracks.

Ibrahim----I noticed the rocks in your environment on another thread........probably the one where you posted pictures of the showline male.  I was going to inquire about how your dogs' feet fared on that terrain, but just read your last post.  There's a product called Musher's Secret that is supposedly breathable.  Those rocks must hurt, (lol). Googled the product.  Here's one response:

Hi Ibrahim

Hope you are well today.

Lovely to see new pics or Orwell and Erri.  You know I just love the toplines on these two, and they just are getting even better if that's possible.

I don't know if it is a trick of the photo & Orwell's colouring, but his pasterns look very steep in those pics. Don't remember that from before.

Their condition is fantastic. How old are they now?

Abby
