Thank you!  Yes he also has *very* rich pigment and color, almost TOO rich (if I don't have the correct camera settings he comes out orange and I have to fix it on the computer).  I have not met his father (in Germany) but his mother is one of the reddest dogs I've ever seen in person.

His mask is not as full black as some I've seen but I love it nonetheless (and of course his temperament, which is most important to me).

Lida, I have been involved in showing dogs in the U.S. for decades. I very quickly saw the issues with the German s/l.

I can't bring myself to worry about it, because I know that despite what is wrong, there will always be breeders like you and TeMar and many others who incorporate character as well as structure into their dogs.

Maybe the dogs are not always at the front of the line, but I know you guys will never be embarrassed by videos of your dogs.

Thanks for the complement on the pup. He was sure a nice pup, i was hard to see him go. But as the saying goes... you cant keep them all... here is one more of him. This is when he was 4 weeks old...

Thank you Rik,  Your very kind words mean much to me...I love beautiful dogs,  but they must work also.

Lida, I am novice to the whole European dog, sch etc. But I do not understand the constant fire fights between the two parties.

If one believes something, they should simply do it and let the dog speak for their efforts. If a 1000 go one direction and I don't agree, then I an free to go my direction.

I also love beauty and am too old to change, so I/m not going to try. I also do not  intend to present a dog that embarrasses me..

state of confusion,

Rik

Exactly Rik,  It all goes back to Triumphs Gucci,  he proved a beautiful dog can work,  by being on the world working team twice...That is my goal for one of my dogs some day..Thanks, Lida
