Is it correct that they both basically  mean the same?  If so, when a dog has the title of VPG on a pedigree, is that the equivalent to a Sch title...?  Should the VPG be at the end of the dogs name or at the front of the name....?  Just trying to understand......

nona, not sure about VPG. VP at the front of a name like in an ad or a posted pedigree indicates the dog got a Very Promising rating in the puppy classes.

Thats what I thought also Rik, but someone told me today that it is the same thing as a Sch title....Couldn't understand why not just use Sch instead of VPG, unless it was awarded in another country.....That was the only thing I could make of it.......Hopefully, I will get more input from someone that can clarify it for us......

VPG and SchH ARE the same thing. The patent clubs in Germany changed to VPG for a more political correctness as SchH means "protection dog" and may be perceived in a negative light as society is becoming more breed ban happy. Vickie

Thanks Vicki....So the title belongs at the end of the name just as with Sch?  The reason I am asking is because our Jabina Falco daughter's mother has a VPG in the front of her name, and like Rik I thought, because of that, it was a conformation rating.....

VPG is the abreviation of a word that translates into something like "versatility test for working dogs"
It replaces Sch, as Vicki has stated. It should go at the end of the name, along with the I, II, or III designation for the title earned.

Don - If everyone used Google, then there would be no need for ANY questions nor this Forum, eh?

Incorrect. I can find your website through google, but it's nice to have a place to post your puppy pics. Besides, how do you have a conversation about the upcoming or latest show/trial? I can also look up articles about a particular training subject, but if I'm looking for possible solutions, it's hard to have a conversation with an article.
