I have had dogs get dry heads from cheat grass between their toes and look like that. But it's only in hot summer. So it is possible he has a splinter or something in it. I would take it to the vet.

My vet suggested Epsom soaks. It has become much smaller, but if its not completely gone by next Friday I am taking him back.
He doesnt lick it anymore. It doesnt appear to bother him at all.

Looks like interdigital cyst. GSDs can get these. They are caused by ingrown hair and are difficult to cure.

I put Gala on antibiotics and will see how that goes.
