This comes down to = the insurance companies sifting through hospital claims to indentify liability, ie. looking for ways to reduce risk; then they'll send a lobbiest to Washington and "financially convince" a congressperson to introduce a bill that makes it illegal. More BS litigation.

Florida has a list that insurance companies use to deny insurance coverage to those who own one of the listed breeds. Michigan law denies insurance companies the right to cancel a policy based on the policy holder's dog breed. Right now, Florida has these dogs listed on their "dangerous breed" list in order of danger:
APBT - American Bulldog - Rottweiler - German Shepherd - Chow - Doberman - Presa Canario - Mastiff - Boxer. Funny how many "mutts" there are now that look like purebred dogs on the above list, unfortunately to counter this, mixes with any of the above breeds in them or if the dog looks like one of the above, are now also considered "dangerous" and grounds for cancellation of insurance.
Interesting link on a community approach to dog bite prevention

Egads, sounds like my niece and her 2 little chihuahuas, they are her accessories like her earrings and her purse, they even wear matching outfits in boy dog and girl dog style to match what she is wearing. Their feet have never touched the real ground outside, they have a fake grass potty place.
