Thank you for your inquiry. It is true Athos was a powerful dog and a lot of dog to handle. I never did more than play with him in training, to make him happy, when I was able, as Athos and his previous owners had already made a name for themselves. A novice, mediocre trainer such as myself could not do anything to enhance his prestige compared to what his talented owners and trainers had already achieved and I am not embarressed to admit my abilities were outclassed.  Athos is well known in Europe. I purchased in him Belgium, at six years of age for breeding, not for competition.

I will not answer PMs or emails from people I do not know, as those can be...shall we say...goofed up? You are very welcome, however, to call me at 907-868-3548 to chat about handling, powerful dogs, or Athos or Athos offspring. We can discuss handling then if you would like.  Please leave me a message if I do not make it to the phone in time to answer your call.

You can also feel free to contact me since he is in my care. He DOES have a couple of genetic heart issues so anyone who owns progeny from him needs to keep a close eye on their dog for any problems. If you would like to see the documentation from OSU veterinary college and have a fax number I would ne glad to provide that for you. His cardiac specialist that first saw him and diagnosed him now practices in Alaska, I think. Her name is Dr. Brandy Dugas. Vickie

I thought you said he was living with "Cindy Thorne"?
So is he living with Cindy Thorne, as you and she said, or is he living with you?
I find it interesting a dog could train so hard, and WIN the Belgium REgional Schutzhund championships--twice. Compete for the WUSV team in 2007 and place 7th against some of the best dogs in Belgium, and have a genetic heart condition. And breed a bitch two months before he was sent to you.

Which records you said you were waiting for from OSU, But which were posted on the internet immediately after by "Cindy Thorne".  Which was it, were you waiting for the vet records, or did you already have them? And if you had them, why did you say you were waiting for them?

Which supposed heart condition I have been waiting 8 months to hear from the diagnosing vet about. That phone number I have not yet received. Why not put the phone number here so I may call Dr. Him or Dr. Her at OSU? With your permission to discuss the diagnosis?

Okay, I see that you say the vet is now in Alaska? Why would that make a difference? As I state below in the next paragraph, OSU would still have Athos' records, they could still send them to me on their official stationary. It will be in your records, just like any other dog of yours they may have treated. The vet would not take the records with her. Also, OSU would have the diagnosing doctor's forwarding phone number for business reasons. Why don't you get that information for me?

Vickie, why won't you have OSU send me the documentation from them on their official stationary? After all, don't we all know documents can easily be faked, especially by someone with 20+ years experiences as a vet tech and access to documents from many different clinics? Even if the vet moved, OSU should still have Athos record, it seems unlikely the doctor would take them with her. Also, even if the vet moved to Alaska, they should have her forwarding phone number.

Veronica,

Why not call me yourself and communicate with ME instead of hurting his name and his Legend any further.  I sent you an email about a week ago requesing a fax number from you and you have yet to answer.

The information contained in these records.... ON OSU letter head....that I have here laying in my lap are not something even I can "FAKE" so it would behoove you not to accuse me as such.  I never worked for a cardiac specialist so MOST all the information here isn't something I can fake, I do not have the wisdom to pull that off.  I was a vet tech for 9 years NOT 20.  And we never had anyone take a dog to OSU for care....typically when as sick as Athos was upon diagnosis he would have been euthanized.  You yourself even said to put him down but Cindy didn't want too.....and yes he does live with Cindy but since I care for and manage her dogs I see, touch, play with Athos every day and he is in much better health than he was when received.

Also, something else I was waiting for was a detailed and complete bill from OSU.  To send to you as well.  OVER $4,900 has been spent on his health care alone since we have had him and that does not include the cardiac diet he is on.

I will post a pic of him infront of an undecorated Christmas tree here in a second, I have to send it from my phone to my email and then upload it..........

NO breeder will accept a fax or a vets report by email.  If Athos was diagnosis by someone who has moved, a breeder should not accept any vet records from anyone but that vet.  Since it  has been 8 months ago and not handled in a timely manner, the accused breeder of selling a dog diagnosed after it arrived to the buyer , has the right to demand the said Athos be seen by a vet of her choice within a time period of her choosing, and witnessed by another third party and identification taken with photo of said Athos and his other means of identification.

Any records should always be sent from the attending vet not the person accusing. That is done by certified mail .

Then and only then you tell people his problems not before the breeder has even been given proof by certified mail from the vet and as  has already been requested long ago to talk with said vet that did this exam.

You can even see the tattoo in his ear to verify it is him!  This bottome picture wouldn't enlarge without making it all blurry!

The reason I was not in a hurry to send the medical history is because Veronica said she would pay me back for Athos but she didn't have the money right then and would have to make payments.  I never requested those payments be made......I didn't think there was a huge hurry to press her for the money or the issue.  Athos was PAID in full before he was shipped!  The ONLY reason Veronica is holding the papers is because I still owed her the balance on Vinetta.  She said she would apply $1,500 of the money from Athos towards Vinetta and then make payments back to me on the rest but could not afford to pay in one lump sum.  I never received papers on Athos even though he was PAID IN FULL!  I wired her $5,500.
