I wanted to send you this note to let you know what Reddy and I have been involved in over the past 3 days.
Since Tuesday evening the NY State Police on Long Island have arrested numerous people after a lengthy investigation into illegal drug distribution. A number of "raids" were conducted on residences and buildings. After these raidsReddy and I conducted the searches for the drugs. Not knowing exactly how much we would ultimately find... What we ended up with was HUGE in terms of drug/narcotic finds. Reddy is credited with finding and seizing all of the following drugs/money and vehicles.
He located a total of:
900 pounds of marihuana - worth an estimated 6 MILLION dollars
22 pounds of cocaine - worth an estimated 8 MILLION dollars
1 pound of heroin
7 lbs of crack cocaine
He also located an additional suitcase filled with $860,000 in cash and 2 BMW's.

All of these items were hidden in very difficult to find locations, Reddy found each of them within minutes. The State Police narcotics unit was extremely impressed with Reddy. I even overheard a few of the guys saying he is one of the best police dogs they had ever seen work. Many K9's will go thru their entire career without finding EVEN HALF of what we found over the course of 3 days. Within 3 months of graduating from K9 school, he is already showing that he is a hero.

We got home from work a few hours ago and he is passed out in his dog bed on the floor EXHAUSTED. You should be EXTREMELY proud of him, as I am!!
