My dog Allie seemed to be on antibiotics for about four years from infections caused by the demodex. She's allergic to everything. I found a Best Choice dog food that didn't have soy, eggs, et cetera, all her irritants. Then I put her on 500ppl of Colodial Silver, a dropper a day. She has no more infections, her stained feet and face are now white instead of the red. She initiates play, tells me when it's time to go to bed and is very interactive. I hope this helps. I spent a lot of trips to the vet trying to get it right. The silver seemed to do the most. I also give her some extra virgin olive oil on her food when she asks, just for good heart health. Good luck.

FOOD allergies is a seperate issue from demodex. You can find several threads on demodex within the last 3 months. Demodex is caused by mites. the symptoms might be similiar to food allergies.

I think the OP was letting us know what worked for her rather than seeking help.
twotzus43, I've used Coloidal Silver for topical infections and have also given it internally with great success, BUT it is my understanding you can't use it long term due to the possiblity of too much silver building up in the body, causing toxicity, which can lead to many problems. If I remember correctly, my holistic vet said that you can give it for a couple weeks, take a break and give it for another two week period if necessary. Glad to hear you found something that works though!

I think this person IS TRYING to give the advice that,"Then I put her on 500ppl of Colodial Silver,",and that seemed to help the problem(s) their dog was having.
I know my one sister that had lyme disease years ago, swears by the Colodial Silver.
Believe this or not, 2 months ago, after someone came to my sisters house to work on my niece's car, they left anti-freeze in the driveway. And , you guessed it, my sisters dog drank the anti-freeze. And no, it was not pet safe anti-freeze.
Naturally she brought the dog to the vet, and the vet told her to put her dog down. After testing ,the vet determined the dogs kidneys were already going out. My sister refused to put her down, and started giving the dog the silver.A few days of not eating and drinking, I suggested she hydrate under the skin.
My sister has enough faith for every-one and refused to give up on her dog. My 2 nieces are RN's and I instructed them on the process, which they did for almost a month,2X a day along with the silver.
And YES,her dog DID survive.after returning to the vet for blood tests, everything was returning to normal. So far so good for the dog. I guess a little faith and determination goes a long way!
