It was posted in a Boston Newspaper with a bunch of other Dog & snow pictures. Just wondering what it is.

Check the official breed standard. It's Pekingese. 
The official name of the breed in the USA is Pekingese.
The AKC will not register a "Pekinese" and the parent club of the breed is The Pekingese Club of America, which has been around since the very early 1900s.

rotfl, not being touchy at all. Just pointed out what is the correct name of a lovely breed of dog. Out of respect for that breed and the people who love and care for them, it's nice to get the name right.
