Well I think that it is very annoying when adds are posted without prices on the dogs.  Then people say please don't waste our time and serious inquires only.  Well how am I supposed to know how serious I am if I don't know if it is in my price range.  Please start posting prices on adds.  It saves the buyer and the sellers time.  I really don't know why most have no price.  It just cuts down on needless questions if you put the most info in the add that you can.

YES!!  I agree.  It is ridiculous to say only serious inquiries.  I'm always serious, or I wouldn't be inquiring.  How am I to know if I want the dog unless I ask all the details.  And yes, they would  have alot less inquiries if they'd put everything in the ad!

It is also ludicrous to think that theirs is the only dog we are inquiring about. Of course not everyone that calls is going to buy a pup.  There are many more out there, and smart shoppers will check them all out before buying.

Every dog I've ever purchased did not have a price publicly listed. Does not bother me at all, I know what a good dog will run me. Ads on this shark tank get picked apart as it is, why add one more thing for people to ridicule? Many breeders will often privately offer a lower price to proven show/work homes as well, or a military/ LEO/FD discount, etc. If someone doesn't have two minutes to email me about price, why should I think they have time for my puppy?

We are talking about breeders that do not want inquiries unless they are serious buyers.  How are we to know if we are serious until we know everything about the dog, INCLUDING the price.  That is one thing less to 'bug' the breeder about.

If they say serious inquiries only, I do not inquire, - why?  because they sound like they don't want to be bothered.  So, to turn what you said around,  why would I buy from a breeder that does not want to take the time to explain all about their dog to me?

You can certainly add me to that list.

I agree with ya'll in one way...and that is Why post an ad if you don't want people to check it out and investigate what the ad is all about....A lot of the times the pedigrees and other pertinent information aren't listed...
And if this ad is about puppies then I can see your point on posting the Price...most puppy prices are pretty standard...
But if you're placing an ad for a young adult or an adult I feel like the price if for the inquirers (buyers) and the sellers...
I mean would you like to post how much you pay for your dog? I think this is a personal thing between the two involved parties...

Every "good dog" has a price set by the owner.  I can go to one kennel and buy a dog for X amount but again at a different kennel it might be a whole new ball park.  Then there are importers who have their fees added and if you buy direct it might be different.  A good dog is priced buy its seller.  I have the time to inquire about price and everything else but if you say serious inquires only how is one to know if they are serious or not if not everything is in the add.  We have to ask questions to know how serious we are.  I see the same lines with the same titles with prices $1000's off from each other.  I don't care what people post on their adds but to help to weed out the "non serious" buyer so to speak, provide the most information that you can and then you won't have unnecessary correspondence from people.  They don't want their time wasted and I don't want mine wasted.  That's all.  I'm not even saying anyone in particular I just am shopping around for a good male and most adds have no price and little information on it but say don't waste my time if you're not serious.  It is just frustrating.   If I don't want to pay that price that is my problem not theirs but just list the best information possible.

I don't inquire on dogs with no price either.

Normally if there's no price listed then the seller wants big money.  You ever been to Tiffany in NYC?  The seller knows that the price is really what the buyer is willing to pay for the dog.  It's a strategy that enables the seller to evaluate the potential buyers interest and resources to see what they can afford and maybe get more money.  Caveat emptor.

I agree with the "annoyed" but to a point understand KC. If I am "serious" I am already on the path of searching. And we all know "Time is money", even for the buyer. Now if dogs are my business per se then more time is alloted to search, scroll, look, go back and forth ? how man times etc., etc. But I don't have that much freedom.

One of my peeves is you when you even do come across a nice dog or litter? And the ad is 2007................ WHAT!? Another is the ad or the heading of the ad itself; "This is the dog!" or "Best litter of 2010" or stuff like that. Another is say there's an add on the top of the page, (PDB), and you just happened to have caught it out of the corner of your eye scrolling....... so you go back to that page and now it's a different ad and the one you're looking for is lost.
