read good things about DE.
wondering if i should start to make use of it.
i found at wolf creek ranch that they sell food grade DE, thinking to order online.
has anyone been using for very very long time without any side effects on ur dogs?
i just want to know before i start as i know its good stuff but its great to know if there's any side effect on the long run.
thanks

She takes it HERSELF...I first read her report on here three years ago and I believe she will help you ..for the dogs...no harmful after effects or use.....Vets will not like it as it keeps health on the positive side .THey do not like or believe holistic methods unless they are HOLISTIC VETS. I believe you will see more and more holistic methods used on our animals in the next year as Medical or Pharmacutical drugs are more harmful and costly .
Farmers have been feeding it to their herds for years...DR> MELVIN MASSEY here in Texas wrote about it and he told me about it three years ago..He puts in his race horses feed and he was a SPECIAL RACE Horse vet...
HE and other farmers put it in the feed bins and for years feed their herds of cattle and any animal..

Ditto to YR- vets don't like it because it's too simple, too cheap, too healthy, too effective, and has no side effects that will send you running back to the vet;-)

Do not....DO NOT DO NOT buy the anti-parasitic, insecticide, or pool DE as it's not the same thing.
We topically apply food-grade DE on our pets and inside of our home (we vacuum 2 days after applying the DE and are careful as where to put it.) Most fleas and ticks in this area will laugh at topical flea and tick preventative, but not DE. Since using it ON our dogs, we haven't seen any fleas nor ticks on them.
We use 1 TB (daily) for our GSD and a little less than that for our APBT.

"LOL''
What I was trying to say is YOU ask how long we had been using DE?
I have used it for as long as YOU are OLD>>>'
THAT LONG....
I buy mine in 40 lb bags from Southland Feed in Tyler, Tex....be careful what they sell you Make sure it has stamped on front of bag FOOD GRADE
the smaller bags are too expensive...and do not buy a MIXTURE>>from Tractor Supply . or Walmart or Atwoods..or any one that tries to sell a mixture.
Feed stores know but will try to sell 8 lb bags for $16.00 when you can buy 40 pounds for $26.00 approx. depending on locale.
It is a funny color and very SILK like...make sure you store it in a tight lid galvanized garbage can in dry place. Do not breath the dust...use a face mask when applying a lot of it...and I made the mistake of putting it in my carpet one time and my rainbow expelled all the dust all over my home , crystal, china . plants and more..spent months dusting by hand...never will do that again..if you use it in house...use it just in sun room, or patio or where you can sweep it up...
My vacuuming experience was horrible.
