Shadowdancing - Page 1

My neighbor has a great little 8 month old GSD pup with a small problem. Seems to be obsessed with chasing shadows. Otherwise attentive and obedient for its age, a strong shadow on the floor or wall will almost seem to hypnotize this guy. At first neighbor thought it cute but now it's driving her crazy. Asked me what to do and I had to admit I was stumped. Any ideas?

I think "8 months old" says it all. I doubt if he will be chasing shadows when it is 2 years old.

I have a 3yr. old shepherd that loves to chase shadows if they are moving. She'll even bite walls to try and catch the shadows. She also loves to chase reflections and the lights from flash lights. She's always done this, we always thought it was funny, but it's never really bothered us. Mysti

I wouldn't think anything of it, personally, but if it bothers your neighbor, they could always try giving him something else to chase, like a ball or his favorite toy (besides the shadows! LOL)? That might put his interest elsewhere. :)

my first rottie did this I miss it so very much, it never was a problem just what she loved to do and our son would play it with her
