Hi
Can anyone tell me about cysts or Bursas on my puppy.Hes got a lump on the left side near his tail.Its not causing any discomfort and i have been to the vet and she didnt seem to concerned.I have spoken to the breeder and she says it could be a Bursa ,which if hes has bumped himself ,is a way of protecting the joint.Will this go down?.Its the size of a golf ball.The vet said if it was a cyst they can drain it,but im not sure how he got that.Are these things common in GSD?.Any info would be good.

Sounds like a calcinsosis cutis--usuallly occurs on the elbow or the back of the hock.

Calcinsosis cutis is not a serious condition--is usally remove surgically.
