Check the message board on previous raw food discussions, there is lot about pork, too.
Seems like there are a lot of different opinions out there.
Did you talk to your vet yet?
Personally, I wouldn't feed raw pork but I feed everything else raw. But cooked ground pork shouldn't be a problem at all.
Other dog owners have no problems with raw pork.

I feed raw, ground pork and have never had a problem with it. Also will throw the pack some pork riblets now and then.

I have not fed raw ground pork but I do feed raw pork neck bones, boneless pork spareribs raw.  Do problems;  in fact my vet just stated that pork is good for the animals liver cleansing.??  LIke that and my very picky 10 1/2 year old male WILL eat pork raw so tells me that his body can  handle it OK and have not had any upsets from it.

Sorry my typing is getting sloppy;  NO problems with raw port neck bones and raw port spareribs also.  Best of luck  Nan

PS:  a good majority of Eagle dog foods base is pork.  Not that I like ANY dog food kibble but I have fed Eagle in the past.

you can google "pork for dogs" and find tons of info and vets opinions...

I personally do not feed pork to dogs, to be honest i don’t even eat pork myself, maybe once or twice a year and only if its bbq....i think its heavy on digestion and the few times I did give pork ribs to my dogs they had bad diarrhea possibly because they never had it before or whatever other reason may be..so I stick to chicken, turkey, duck, beef, deer and lamb for my dogs.

I'm a raw whole bones feeder.  I used to feed pork necks on a regular basis but stopped after I read about pseudo rabies.  There is probably less than a snowballs chance in hell that my dogs would come in contact with pork infected with PRV virus,  but it just rubbed me the wrong way.  Everyone draws their own line in the sand as to what they will and won't feed.   http://www.aphis.usda.gov/animal_health/animal_diseases/pseudorabies/downloads/pseudorabies_faq.pdf

I've fed ground pork to my dogs for a while.  Always cook it though.  Pork is actually their favorite food.  I find that chicken tends to give them an upset stomach.  I've made meatloaves for them with pork, ground up a pork loin to add in treats, made my own "canned food" with pork, brown rice and veggies, etc.  Whenever the Nesco roaster comes out, they go nuts and for any dog who is a picky eater, just adding some cooked pork in their bowl tends to make the food disappear!
