Here in far North Queensland Australia they are battening down for a catergory 5 cyclone expected to hit land within the next 24 hours.
It is expected to be the worst cyclone to ever hit the area.
I hope that all of our friends up there stay safe.

Deanna, I am in NSW, far far away from where this is all happening though there are quite a number of GSDL members up there, I olny hope that they remain safe.
It is now believed that Yasi will hit land approx 10pm tonight, it is being compared to cyclone Tracy that demolished Darwin Chistmas 1974. Yasi is around about 500 kilometers wide with an eye of 37 - 50 kilometers wide.
