Does anybody have some pictures of dogs that they think have correct conformation?

by Sheesh on 30 January 2011 - 00:01

Sure! :-)

I love this picture of my girl! I think it shows her best qualities. She is not stretched, she is compact. Very athletic. I love this look.

I also love Ricco in these shots

There are several working line dogs and bitches that I have thought were just beauty in motion, but unfortunately I don't know working lines and name. :-)

Thank you Theresa,

I didn't really word this post very well.

This is what I'm looking for, so I have a better understanding of what to look for in a well-built GSD!

Ricco is extremely Handsome!

I love the size of your girl, she's just right!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful dogs!

Thank you for the compliment. I love sharing and talking conformation. :-)

Oh, by the way, Ricco is not mine.... :-( He belongs to a very good friend of mine. Britta (AKA Cassie) is mine, and  I have a 7 month old Ricco son.

My favorite Working line for some time has been :   BSP, V Olek von der Maineiche ScH H III www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/pedigree/510461.html

Of show lines I like  VA Shicco vd Freiheit Westerholt Sch H III  www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/pedigree/501217.html

Most receintly I've been impressed by "V" Marin zur Krombach  SchH III www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/pedigree/677360.html

I keep finding the same lines behind what i like most times, Tom, Yoshi, Ufo, Paska, Olex Particularily.. as they seem to give the LOOK I'm drawn to, and the mental abilities as well.

As to why they don't all look identical??  Well it's each person (Breeder, owner or judge) who interperts the standard.  I like balance over extreme if I have to choose. Some, particularily show ine folks, prefer extreems at all costs.. true both in the SV and the AKC rings.

Love Olek amd Marin! Stunning!

windwalker18,

nice group of breathtaking dogs!

My dogs look more like Olek.
Shicco looks like he must be drop dead gorgeous in person, and Marin very stunning black.

Breeders, owners, judges, 3 groups of people with the same goals, that need to come together at some point and all agree on the dog presented before them.

How about, that points of view as seen

from the whelping box, from the end of the leash, and from the ring!

Olek would be my pic amongst all of those.

Why are they not all the same?  Politics, fads.

I like Puck's conformation.

by Sheesh on 30 January 2011 - 14:01

I love Puck's look too. Also, personal taste is a huge factor. Some like more angulation while others prefer less, some Like heavier boned like Shicco, others prefer moderate. I am more of a moderate person myself. :-) Theresa
