I do not understand why they let the bickering and foul language go on. Is there some way we can at least not let foul language on this board?
I totally agree, there is no place for it and it solves nothing and teaches nothing. I have a 12 year old grand-daughter who is very keen on learning and showing etc., but I would never let her look at this place to search pedigrees or read all the INTERESTING topics, which in the main, could teach her lots, because of this reason. A brilliant, informative site, abused. Mo Lakin.
Stupid is as stupid does.
Amen to that Penny! I totally understand that we are all emotionally committed to our dogs (check my own login name) so fevers will tend to run high, but can we please at least agree to treat each other with the respect and courtesy that we would hope to receive from others? I think a little "calm assertive energy" should apply here.
Not again, I guess he had enough of the hate god's.....
Time to stop tolerating that kind of behavior and language - not just on the messageboards - but in the clubs, at the trials, on the training fields. It's disgraceful and disgusting. It does nothing to better the sport or the breed and needs to be stopped. Our working breeds are too much under scrutiny as it is - we don't need to give people more ammunition to oppose German Shepherds and Schutzhund.
I also want to point out that any obscene language on these boards is often an automatic rejection from web search engines. So, not only are you being offensive to everyone who reads here, you are also causing Oli a ton of work and headaches by doing so.
He uses his time to maintain this site to the best of his ability (this is NOT his job, but merely a hobby!!!), and he does not need a bunch of foul-mouthed children causing him more work! Also, anyone who knows anything about web hosting will realize by looking, that the sheer volume and tremendous amount of hits this website gets per day, the cost is very high to maintain.
Do everyone a favor, and if you can't behave like an adult who has MANNERS, don't post at all. Heated discussions are fine, but obscene language is not needed. Utilize this site for what it was intended--a place to LEARN about the breed. Not tear it apart.
After watching regional directors, regional breed wardens, regional and national level handlers and trainers and club level competitors, display inappropriate behaviors on numerous occasions on this site it has opened up a whole new can of worms and there is no wonder why people are acting the way they are and using the language they are using. In the last week or two I have watched the same people as mentioned above get into heated arguments with individuals and I believe it is very inappropriate for people at this level to stupe to a level below their expertise. I have been involved with schutzhund for years as a competitor, and trainer and have never seen the sport in such disarray. Schutzhund needs an overhaul and it needs to start at the top this means WDA, and USA. ThIs needs to end now! joe
I made a post to the last thread after seeing the obscenity and had to leave work and come home. Upon trying to forward the obscene post to Officers of USA I see it has been removed. Is there a moderator that can send me a private email with the obscene post so that the proper people can be notified that someone proclaiming membership in USA is displaying such improper and offensive behavior?
It is rediculous that things like this should occur and it should be addressed.
Thank you for your time.
