Hi Everyone,
I have been feeding my senior (10 yrs) girl Orijen Senior for about 80 days now and I am seeing great results. Her coat looks great (feels like rabbit fur), her energy levels are high and her senior arthritis doesn't seem to be bothering her as much. The down side is that when I started feeding her the OS she seemed like she was starving after eating. Of course I thought maybe she wasn't getting enough and increased her portions. Thus the weight gain. After talking with my pet food specialist  (BS Cornell, Animal Nutrition) he recommended cutting back on the OS and adding the Fruitables.

Fruitables is a canned dog food that helps dogs loose weight and not feel hungry. I started adding the pumpkin oatmeal blend to her reduced portion OJ and she Loooves it. I have to admit it smells good enough to use as pumpkin pie filling.

Sure would be nice if someone came up with a diet food that was affordable, smelled good, tasted great and was quick and easy to fix for us humans.

To keep that beautiful coat, you try using Oatmeal soap.
