Which formula? My dogs did best on the duck or fish. Bison made my eldest itchy and I was not impressed with the new lamb. I haven't heard anything.

Michael68,

I was feeding taste of the wild and it was ok...but now I have switched to a complete raw diet for everyone, cause I KNOW WHAT IS IN THEIR FOOD CAUSE I AM PUTTING IT IN THEIR BOWL.

Here is an idea of what I am feeding my dogs, you can find some bargains at your local grocery store that has meat that is marked down and says manager special, it's still fit for human consumption, and fine for your dogs.

You won't kill your dogs if you start feeding them a raw diet & you aren't sure of how much of certain ingredients to add, you will eventually figure it out, and it will become a routine.

Here is my link, just something to consider:

Good luck, and one of my dogs that itches has stopped since I have been putting organic coconut oil in their ears and food!  (Good stuff!)

I don't know anything about a change of formula but sounded like you switched the food.
The dog is 1 year olf right?
Dogs that have food sensitivities or allergies usuaally begin to show this at @1 yr.  They need enough exposure to a food/allergen to develop a response to it.

Skin is an organ - the largest organ - the organ that releases toxins hence the scratching, chewing feet.
YOu might swutch back to what you were feeding this dog and watch carefully - be patient. Or...try an elimination diet - ONLY 1 protein - it's short term so no nutritional defeiciencies. Stay on this for 4 weeks - if all is good, add only 1 thing, etc.

It's winter up my way so.....snow outside (no pollens), Not sure where you live. Could this be environmental?  New carpet, carpet shampoo/treatment. I know of a dog that had an allergy to cotton - ??? - vet owns the GSD - so she made his beds from polyester - problem solved.

I bet I made this more complicated didn't I?

I have used TOTW for about 4 months and am pleased. I am a reader of the feed tag and have not noticed a change in formula.

Where do you live? If it's cold and dry where you live right now, run a humidifier in the room your dog spends the most time in. Does WONDERS for my dogs.

Michael...Be careful switching to the Fowl from the Salmon...Salmon is 25% Protein and the Fowl is 32%....so either feed less or your dogs will be putting on weight...
I use the Salmon for my entire kennel...My wife uses the Fowl for her Yorkies...I feed 2 times a day and one time I feed kibble and the other I feed Raw Chicken...plus they get some berries and other good things that are needed in their diet...
