What is your vet giving this dog and for what? You are apparently in the UK. The panadol and diamorphine you mention are both painkillers. They both will help firm up stool, but there are other ways to do this besides giving opiates. Kaolin is to help control diarrhea, but if the dog has some sort of parasite, or some other bowel inflammatory condition or some digestive problem, this may be insufficient.

Whipworms are a good bet. They are very, very difficult to get rid of in the dog, and the eggs shed in feces live in soil despite freezing or hot temperatures. A good treatment to treat for parasites like whipworm, not just once, but several times over the course of some weeks is a good first step.

Yes, this has been going on now for some time and you should be contacting your vet. I wrote a lot of additional questions you never answered on your first post. You cannot simply try this and that and then something else and hope to solve the problem without a disciplined approach to rule out certain problems. Another problem with this kind of medical issues is that people hop from one thing to the next and never give a given treatment time to work.

It is absolutely abnormal for this to be going on with your dog. If you want to look up and answer those other questions I posed, I will be glad to offer some ideas about what to rule out, but you should definitely be in contact with your vet on this. Whipworms, for instance, can do so much damage that the dog will chronically have diarrhea. Therefore, it is very important to get to the bottom of this!

Good luck.
