I know this may sound like the Island of Doctor Moreaux, but I have heard of a man in Saudi Arabia that is producing a litter who is Sired by a Saint Bernard and Mothered by a LIONESS, (an African Lion Lioness to be precise)!!!  After weeks of tracking down this idiot, I managed to find his house and the litter in Saudi.   I cantacted him over the phone and we agreed that I will be going down to investigate this issue and see the remaining male and female pups/cubs/kittens on the weekend.  I live in Kuwait and this guy is in  Saudi Arabia (Riyadh).  I hate travelling to that part of the Gulf, so if any of you can confirm that such a breeding is possible from a bioogical point of view...Ethically I know its TERRIBLE, but biologically is this possible, you will spare me a trip to Saudi and being called a fool for beleiving a crazy man ....So...Can this happen?

The term that stands out in that for me is 'Mothered'

Yes a lioness could 'Mother' a litter of pups, like the tigeress that suckled a litter of piglets, but physically conceive and give birth to them.....  conceive I highly doubt... Maybe with some human intervention i.e embryo implantation, give birth to them yeah quite probably.

but who knows with nature, stranger things have happened!!

No--not possible for the lion to mate with a dog and conceive.  The dog and wild cat are not in the same genus.  Only animals in the same genus can mate and produce a hybrid offspring.  Look at this article:  http://www.factmonster.com/ipka/A0934185.html .

NO, don't waste your money. As stated above, it is possible a dog might nurse lion cubs or vice versa, but it is not possible for these two species to interbred.

not possible to have canine/feline cross pup/kits.  But, as already said - possible for lioness to raise a litter of puppies, or possibly to carry/give birth to with some sort of sick invitro-fertilization sort of thing - but the babies would be either canine (from two canine birth parents) or feline (from two lion parents).

Yeah, look at youtube for catdog, catdog....one fine day with a woof and a purr a baby was born and it caused a little stir, no blue buzzard, no 3 eyed frog, just a feline/canine, little catdog. Catdog! Catdog! Alone in the world is the little Catdog. A lunatic dog and a frustrated cat, opposite this and opposite that, an internal struggle for 2-in-1 brothers, scratching and biting and loving each other. great program on the subject! No.  Impossible.  If he is very skilled, he could implant dog embyros into the lioness and she could be the surrogate mother.  But there will absolutely  NOT be any mixing of genes across these species.

I do have a Ph.D.

dog and cat litter??
sounds like artifical process. I wouldn't even want to see it, I don't really believe in that kind of stuff. Let us know if you go what exactly they are though.
