hodie - Thanks for the info. that is what I am worried about is a partical blockage but I am perinod when it comes to my dogs.
Denna - Thanks I hope it is as simple as a virus.
wolflady - I have not heard of any birds dying here, we are in Utah. I hope there is nothing to the birds though. Good luck with your dogs.

And yes, winter time is a great time for viruses and illness to circulate, not just among humans, but also among our companions.
If is possible that the OP has a problem with a parasite and the dog was not cleared of it, or somehow has been reinfected. Giardia especially, as well as other protozoal infections can be difficult to eradicate if there is surface contamination anywhere. Many of these organisms form spores that are very resistant to environmental conditions.
Take the dog to the vet. Take a fresh stool sample and keep us posted. It is also possible that your dog has some sort of digestive issue that is just now showing up. When the dog does not have diarrhea, what are his stools like?

Hodie - His stools always look great, I feed him Orijin Chicken, Turkey & Fish formula. He eats twice a day once around 6:30 a.m and then again around 5:00 p.m. I have been feeding this for a few months now. Thanks for your comments, I don't worry about dead birds or anything like that.
