I thought it was males 65lbs-90lbs and bitches 55lbs-70lbs. What do you all say?

by Zahnburg on 10 June 2006 - 00:06
The standard states that males should be 30 - 40 Kg (66 - 88 lbs) and females 22 - 32 Kg (48.4 - 70 lbs)

Where can I find typical weights for growing puppies and their ages? Thanks!

4 19.0 41.8 55 16.4 36.2
5 22.9 50.6 66.57 20.0 44.0
6 26.1 57.4 75.52 22.7 50.1
7 28.4 62.6 82.36 24.7 54.4

Thank you! A very informative site. I dont know why is it that some people think that GS dogs should be 150lbs. !!!!
by Melissa on 10 June 2006 - 15:06
What, Janette, you don't want our "Huge, OVERSIZED German Shepherd dogs, huge bones, purebred!!"
Hence the sarcasm :)

People see my 85 - 90 lb male and think he is 120lbs. So I think that mostly it is a miss judgement of size.I was just wanting a good site to direct people to when this question comes up time and time again.Sometimes I feel like a broken record. You take the time to inform people and they dont listen anyways. So I thought I could give them a site(s) when they ask. Thanks for the sarcasm Melissa:)
