Do you Guys have a saying or code that you have lived by during your life,
Mine which has stood me in good stead and i stand by is 'He who Dares Wins'

to remind me to study what I train as I go along.

which carried me through a pretty nightmarish time for three hard years

And one from my homeland, with its symbol of the 3 legs of Man - "Which ever way you throw me, I will still stand" though I quite liked my late brother in laws more colourful version "Which ever way you throw me, I will still kick you in the crotch"
to remind me of the steadfast bloodlines from which I stem
