Ok, here are 3 sets of xrays. Two have not been rated yet and one is OFA good. The first is male, the second two are female. Can you give me a comparison of the three and post which you think is the rated good set.

Here, I tried to use some photo editing software to lighten and make more contrast. Same x ray.

The third one is the only decent x-ray - both in positioning and quality of the hip joints.  They look good to me.  The first one is so crooked and twisted I would never send this x-ray in for rating - the second is terrible exposure and also crooked and twisted positioning.  If I had to guess, I'd say the first two would possibly go fair, but maybe not pass.  I would definately not send either in though because of the positioning.

The first one is a bad postioning. The left socket looks good. The right looks shallow because of the bad positioning. The second is too dark for me to comment on. The third one, the positioning is very good and the hips look rated good.

The first 2 are not well positioned, the third x-ray should get Normal.

I think "we" saw the first set before and all had a long discussion regarding them, and were then proven wrong:)

Last set looks the best.

#1 hips are good ( I'd say OFA GOOD potential). Positioning is so, so.
#2 too fuzzy to be sure to say anything with certainty. Really poor x ray quality. Looks like the hip on the right side of the picture is in, but definitely not round good hip and socket. This could be due to an injury or deterioration through the age.  It could have been OFA good in early days but definitely not now.  That is if I see what I see is there since the picture is so poor.
#3 nice x ray, nice positioning and development of the negative . Should get OFA good or excellent on a OFA's good day.

Shhh.... Mary, don't go and spoil my fun. LOL

Yes, we have discussed the first set before. They were taken earlier this year on my 2 year old male Nero. OFA good, Normal elbows.

The second set is a 3.5 year old female. I've been debating wether or not to send these in or have re taken at another vet. I've been talking to Nero's breeder, Jennifer about having xrays done at her vet.

Set number three was taken on an import female when she was 18 months old ( she's 4 now). If they still look like this when I have them taken again in March I'll be one happy camper. If Nero's went Good, hers should be excellent but good would be acceptale as well :)

Thank you all for your time,
Melissa
