 Interesting reading for those who think cloning would produce an exact duplicate.....does not go into much science, but provides the end results as to temperament issues, for instance:

Interesting.  Still in the mighty expensive stage and wondering where this is going to go. 
I did have Titus z Pohranicni Straze his last two years and collected cells now frozen, for cloning.   Also froze semen from Agar z Pohranicni Straze.  We'll find something to do with this soon enough.
I think we needed to see the science improve after "Dolly" a wee bit more.

$10000) to clone special pit bulls (2008)
$43,840 to clone sniffer dogs  (2009)

Looks like the price is droping quickly.......

Maybe it will be affordable to us common folk soon!

If you've ever read Pet Semetary by Stephen King.... you might want to just let dead dogs lie.
 
I do wonder that the reasons for doing it and the possible/probable unpredictable endings just don't match up to make it a good idea.
