ONE OF THE PUPS OUT OF MY LITTER HAS HAD BOTH OF HIS EARS STANDING SINCE HE HAS BEEN 4WEEKS AND 1 DAY OLD. HE IS KNOW ALMOST 6 WEEKS OLD. JUST CURIOUS DOES THIS MEAN ANYTHING ABOUT THE PUPPY.

I had one like that.  In his case it meant smaller firm ears, and he was a smaller sized GSD.

His stature at this time is usually a smaller head and yes frame may be standard...I have had lots of them do that...they do go back down when they get to the teething stage....so be ready for it..

My guys ears never went down. He matured at 24.5 inches and 70 lbs.  Heck of a dog.

Both my girls' ears were up at 5 weeks and the never went back down either.  I have found this to be more common in the working lines because they seem to have smaller ears as compared to SL.  Just my experience.

Early development - smaller ears and a healthy portion of mother's milk!
Not all WL's have shorter ears - here is mine, her ears stood up at 9 weeks - her pedigree is all working line!

You are all correct....I have had many never went down  but some do..

I had a lady who was appauled that her pups ears went one down at 12 weeks and she took her to vet and he wanted to tape them for 125.00..

She called me crying as he told her ,,,the ears would never stand without it....SO it can happen....of course I have never produced a dog whose ears didnt stand and my dogs are a WL /SL old German lines combo....the biggest dog I ever produced ears took 9 months to both stand and that was ZOE who I posted in the snow..
.
I was just warning the person that IT CAN HAPPEN..
..
NOT THAT IT  would HAPPEN..    I do not know how many pups that have gone thru your hands, but mine have had many many many many and I have many different ear positions when they leave my care. Here are some pics of a few.....Never ever have one of them failed to come up naturally...just do various times of down and up and down and up....has a lot to do with how the NEW owner handles the feeding and the way pup  is cared for also...

I have a 4.5 months old Show Line and he has one of his ears up and the other is not. I am wondering if I have to tape his ears. His is not yet done teething. Some of my friends say his ears are too big and so we need to tape and another say wait till he is done teething. His second ear is like this for almost a month and a half. If we tape, do we have to tape both of them or just the one which is not yet up ?

His brother is also with me and his ears are already up. what do you all think ?

My females ears were did that. One up one down. Someone suggested jello mix to be added to her food for extra calcium. Not sure if that worked or just timing but her ears came up around 5 months. Taping seems to be a last resort. You might want to get alot of opionions on it before you even consider from what I have heard. Seems you can do more harm than good if not correctly done.
