We had the telescope ready but when we awoke at the right time, there was just too much cloud cover, and we couldn't see a thing! We were going to wake the kids, too. Bummer, last Solstice Eclipe of the Moon was in the 1600's!

Saw the meteor shower last Tuesday at 3:30 am. Pretty cool. Googled it and it seems like it is common around that date. Thought that was weird. Especially since we are supposed to end around then in 2012.

I didn't get up when I was supposed to, but this is what I woke up to this morning...I didn't have time to get the tripod out, so it is a bit blurry...Steph

This Eclipse was supposed to be the first in over 430 sum years. I watched every phase come and go. Amazing. I didn't see the total till about 4:00 but the greatest came quickly like in about 20 minutes. I've never seen a black moon before. Simply amazing.
